Instead of having a separate event for October, we are recommending the Forest Products Laboratory Open House on Friday, October 20. They have a full week of events planned if you are interested (https://www.fpl.fs.usda.gov/nfpw/nfp.shtml). Per their email, ” The Open House will offer behind the scenes tours, meet and greets with scientists, and informational booths…as we celebrate forest products and recognize the importance of their sustainable use.”
The Open House is running from 9am until 3pm at the Forest Products Laboratory (One Gifford Pinchot Drive, Madison, WI 53726-239).
To make it a bit more of an event for this group, meet at the Forest Products Lab at 11am to go through the Open House together! (Of course, feel free to attend at a time that works best with your schedule if 11am does not work.)
